So Green is still pretty convinced that this is all either some weird dream or some terribly off-color joke someone's pulling, but he'll enjoy the facilities for a bit before bailing out of here in style. The biomes are pretty nifty and they deserve him checking them out a bit, so today he's chosen the Rocky Mountains and will scale the cliffs like a true champ. Eevee (and the cutest Eevee at that) is curled around his neck and shoulder as they ascend.

Think you can keep up? Green seems to be climbing the rocky surfaces with ease, but he's always happy to have a challenger that he can grind into the dust.]

[Watch it, Green, Crystal's pretty good at this too. In fact, she used to train at Mt. Mortar when she was a kid!

Okay, that was for pokémon training, but her ease around mountains (versus, say, beaches) is nothing to snort at. She's catching up!]

[She sure doesn't look familiar to him, so going by a blank slate is probably safe! He's more occupied with looking slightly annoyed at how someone else is on his soon-to-be-claimed mountain.]

Huh? Oh, no, I ... [Well.] Maybe! I [normally] work as one of Professor Oak's aides, and I thought I'd explore a few of these biomes to see what kind of pokémon live in them. Have you seen any and, if so, which species?

[This is how she occupies her time while attempting to find a way out. Even if she's watching the possibility of there being one slip away very, very quickly.]

[And now he's super suspicious. He narrows his eyes and gets a good look; he might not hang around Pallet as much anymore but he's pretty sure he knows all of his grandfather's aides.]

One of his helpers, huh? I've never seen you before in my life.

[Okay, she knows how crazy that makes her sound. Even she thinks she sounds crazy.]

[He opens his mouth to protest because that does sound crazy and stupid, but then he remembers that's actually how things work here. He doesn't like how that is A Thing here, but he's pretty much got to accept it. Great.] Oh, right. Nevermind then.

[Hey now, no need to push herself. Green's already scaling back down the slopes; he can stake his claim up top later because he is a true gentleman and won't just leave her behind.]

[Wow, much nicer than she remembers. She doesn't think she minds it...]

A few weeks ago, um... I think. Um, but it feels a lot longer than that. What about you?

[He's changed a little bit over the past few years; just try not to make a big deal out of it or else he'll try to brush it off.

He drops back down the slopes in front of her.] About the same for me, I think. Who knows how much time is really passing in here, you know?

I wonder if it's passing back home, too. [It's an upsetting idea. She needs to keep getting the badges -- two isn't enough.] When we go back, will, uh... Will everyone be older?

[It sounds dumb when she says it outloud. Darn.]

[Dumb indeed but apparently not a dumb thing to ask when they're stuck in a place like this.] No clue. But hey, it might be kinda funny.

[Especially if that loser Red is ancient and old and wrinkly. That'll show him! Green's trying to find some upside to this.]

[He will fight you for that Green stops, looks below him, and nearly loses his grip on the rocks. Just when he thought he was free...!]

You know what I mean! [This is his mountain can't you see.] If you're thinking about setting up house here, I'll kick you off the cliff myself.

Who would want this mountain? It doesn't even have any snow. { Do you have a flag on it? I think not this mountain is up for grabs!}

You would say that. [Weirdo. Well, excuse him, but Green's got this cliff to climb onto and declare for himself. Don't cramp his style too much, okay?]

I'd like to see you try! [He's gonna speed up the cliff now, smell you later dweeb]

[Someday Green will realize that challenging a guy who lived in a mountain to a mountain climbing contest was never a good idea in the first place. Today is not that day. Why is he losing already...!]

No way! [Why are you so fast, it must be because you weigh like nothing while Green is weighted down by these glorious big muscles on his arms okay OKAY.]

You're out of shape. { Lifting an arm up to wipe a faint bit of sweat from his head. I feel just fine, that was an awesome warm up till he can find colder mountains to set up base on.}
