Believe me, I like the land. The berry gardener in me loves it, even. But water is still necessary for people and Pokemon to survive. Throwing the delicate balance of nature is just asking for trouble. Lives can be lost in the process.

[Since Team Magma was using that for one of its plans, it's perfectly fair game to use as an example!] Once the lava cools and hardens, it'd become more land, just as Team Magma wants... but what would happen to the people and Pokemon in the area surrounding it?
